Does anyone have a recipe using cooked grains to make a baked "granola" type bar? I think I've seen something like this before but don't have a recipe for it. DS is allergic to oatmeal and I'm looking to find a room temperature stable snack I can have on hand for him to bring to preschool.
Married to my wonderful DH; Mama to DS born 6-07 and 4 in heaven 1-06 (7 weeks) 1-10 (6 weeks) and our twins 5-11, one sweet boy (17 weeks) and one precious baby girl (18 1/2 weeks).
In the middle of our adoption journey and are excitedly waiting to get matched with a birth mom
I just googled "quinoa bar recipe" and "millet bar recipe" and got a bunch of hits. I'm glad you asked the question because I've been looking for ways to get more grains than just oats and wheat into my kids :) HTH
ETA: just found one with puffed rice: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/brown-rice-crispy-bar-recipe/index.html
