So I just got the Vitamix and I am starting to put Whey Protein into it.  Is this ok for children?  What is is made of?  I read the ingredients but I wasn't sure.  What is the best kind to buy nutrition wise?  I have heard that it is good for you but I guess I should have researched more before I bought it.  We have only used it the once.  Anything you can tell me would be wonderful!

We do whey protien shakes.  I only buy actual whey protein- so no soy protein mixed in.  There are a lot of them out there that have tons of sugar though...  I buy either Healthy for Life or Melaleuca (like the Melaleuca better since it is way cheaper).  I sometimes give it to the kids- but not very much since it can plug anyone up....  and I don't want to deal with that :)  I feed my kids a lot of eggs usually and feel that gives them plenty of additional protein.

I use this one - http://www.swansonvitamins.com/SWU477/ItemDetail   It's very high quality, made from grassfed milk and is a great bargain.

You can read more about whey protein here: http://www.swansonvitamins.com/health-library/products/grass-fed-whey-protein-powder.html
