I was just told that I have to cut out honey and agave, thankfully I've already been cutting super way back on refined sugar and those other 2 already so it's not so hard, but I do like sweet, a lot! I've been rather afraid to make the switch, until being forced to b/c of all the stories that it has a bitter after taste.

So have you done comparisons?

Do you have a favorite brand of stevia that is 100% pure stevia, no maltodextrin, natural flavors or other fillers...? Can you link it here?

That'd be so awesome!!

TIA,

Chelsie

I use stevia drops nearly every day in my coffee, and I've had the same bottle over a year!  I do still add a little sugar, but am trying to cut down the ratio, I'm doing 5 drops of stevia and 1/2 tsp demerera sugar.  http://www.amazon.com/Vanilla-Flavored-Liquid-Stevia-2-Ounce/dp/B000E8WIAS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1338249333&sr=8-1

Thanks for replying! The list of flavors is impressive and intriguing! Though I feel wary about a product that doesn't disclose all of its ingreds. Does it really say "other ingredients" on the bottle like it does on the amazon page? That seems so odd to me...

Apparently it is top secret!  The ingredients are Proprietary Formula (Natural Flavors), Purified Water and Stevia leaf extract

We really like SweetLeaf http://www.sweetleaf.com/products/sweetleaf-products. I've also seen other brands that sell the leaves (not powder), but can't remember the name, we haven't tried those anyway.

Thanks for the recommendation! I like that is only has 2 ingreds, both of which I can pronounce and am familiar with winky.gif, and the site says it's the purest and sweetest, and it sounds like they have good business practices which is always a nice bonus!
