Funny, I'm just thinking about this because I need to organize my shopping list for the farmer's market and grocery store.
In the past 2 weeks, we've already run through my standard go-to dinners for hot summer weather. I've already served "big" salads like salade nicoise, broccoli salad and potato salad at least a couple of times each. I've tried some new fruit salads as sides. I've given the grill a workout with fish and chicken.
I'm not fond of cold soup, so that isn't really an option for us, but perhaps someone else would like it.
I think I'm ready to set out sandwich fixings and call it a day.
I usually serve these w/ smoothies, lol. Chopped fresh carrots, dates, tofu/yogurt, favorite unsweetened milk, baby spinach, chia seeds, flax, lots of fresh/frozen fruit. a little honey or maple syrup, ice cubes, whatever we have on hand. Then we all just "sip and dip" as my husband calls it, lol.
