Herbal infusions questions

It's been so long since my last post; forgive me if this has been discussed recently.

I'm wanting to get back into daily herbal infusions for myself and my two kids, ages 3 and 8. We've only done nettle in the past, but Susun weed has suggested linden, chickweed, red clover, nettle, hibiscus, oat straw and violet leaf.

I'm thinking of starting with nettle, oat straw, hibiscus, and linden.

I'm wondering if anyone here does these herbs regularly and can point me in the right direction for steeping times for linden and oat straw.

What herbal infusions do you do regularly?

Many blessings!

So teas and infusions are different things.

Susun weed is VERY specific on how infusions are to be done. Infusions are only for nutritive herbs, never for aromatic herbs. Anything that has an odor (peppermint, lemon balm, chamomile) are never to be prepared as an infusion. They'd be much too strong and could cause liver damage from the essential oils.

The way infusions are prepared is by weighing out one ounce of dried plant material, putting in a glass quart mason jar, filling to the top with boiling water, and letting sit for at least four hours, or overnight. Then straining plant material and drinking.

The herbs you listed all sound good to use.

I make infusions with nettles and often with other herbs. When I do a cold infusion I do it the Susun Weed method, occasionally I add peppermint or some other tasty herb the last hour or so. love.
