How much was it? That sounds great. When I was looking for a grain mill, I saw that some of them had flaker attachments, but I wasn't sure how well they'd work.
Do you use the flaked grain for cooked cereals, or cold, or both? I used to eat a lot of rolled oats as oatmeal and in granola. But I go through eating phases so then it sits around for a long time - I usually through it into the freezer.
How long can you store un-flaked grain? I read once that you can keep whole wheat berries indefinitely before grinding. I hope that's true. I have a small amount that I haven't unpacked yet since we moved.
