I am really into Lima beans these days and I want to make succotash. But I can't recall what's in it. Any one have a recipe?

Also, if my lima beans and corn both contain salt, do I need to bother adding salt too?

Can be made with canned or frozen vegetables
Combine & heat
1 cup corn
1 cup cooked lima beans or green beans
2 Tbs. butter
1/2 tsp.salt (if using unsalted vegies & beans)
1/8 tsp. paprika
chopped parsley
ENJOY!

We just steam frozen lima beans and corn. Just a dash of salt and a little bit of butter for flavoring.

Isn't there supposed to be like red bell peppers and green beans in there too? Or am I hallucinating?

Alright, I made some with canned lima beans and canned corn. It was yummy. Next time I'll add the margarine (we're vegan so no butter) and see if they come out better.

Best part was that my toddlers loved em! Sucked that succotash right down. She had a full cup before she was through. Mama likes!

I think some brands (canned and frozen) come with squares of carrot and green beans. Peppers? That would jazz it up.

I think the trad version has only the corn and limas because they're ripe at the same time? Or something.

"We are actually a form of lima bean. Take us to your corn people, we want to make succotash".

.... from Bosom Buddies....

I limas, but they make my tummy do crazy nasty things.
