I made this delicious Christmas Stollen loaf a few years ago. However, in that time we have moved and my recipe - is gone. If anyone has the El molino Flour Mills cookbook, please pm me the Stollen recipe. I'm pregnant and I have a ferocious craving for this bread and there is nothing comparable to it in town.
Hello - Stollen is a yeast leavened sweetbread, German in origin, I think. Its made with flour, eggs, sugar, and mixed dried fruit. Its typically a recipe reserved for Christmas and it tastes, oh so good!!
sorry you didn't get it in time- i know aldi's has stollen (aldi's is a german chain that we get out here in tn instead of trader joe's: - owned by same co.) they have persipan flavor- like marzipan but with apricot kernals. yum!)
if anyone has el molino mills (how i miss them! we went on a field trip once) carob recipes, i'd love some of those... got carob flour and molasses, but few recipes. thanks!
