that would get the flavor right, no doubt- i'm gonna do some searches.
ok, here's the ingredient list on al-ribih halawa: sugar (bleah!), tahineh, natural extra roots (!), pistachio, citric acid (so all that cheap sugar doesn't cloy, yech- unnecessary), vanilla. say, anybody w/ enuf french to know what 'racine de halawa extra' (natural extra roots) are? no hydrogenated fats, tho'. but honey would be better (it's the very devil even trying to find *baklava made w/ honey instead of sugar these days- I have to make my own or buy 'wild oats' )
