I know it's been questioned before whether or not store brand Organic is really Organic... appears they're sliding by just like Horizon. :

In response, and in alliance with the Cornucopia Institute, the OCA sent out a national press release last week calling on consumers to boycott these brands. Two of the largest organic dairy companies in the nation, Horizon Organic (a subsidiary of Dean Foods) and supplier to Wal-Mart and many health food stores; and Aurora Organic, a supplier of private brand name organic milk to Costco, Safeway, Giant, Wild Oats and others, are purchasing the majority of their milk from feedlot dairies where the cows have little or no access to pasture. The National Standards Board is currently accepting public comments regarding factory farm dairy.

Ugh I knew it was too good to be true that Safeway carried organic milk.
And it's the only organic brand WIC lets me buy.

Well, if you're getting through WIC and not having to shell out your own cash for it, I'd get it just because it *shouldn't* have antibiotic traces and such in it... it's just not from healthier, pasture raised cows. KWIM?

It ends up that I can get 1/2 gallons of Organic Valley for $2.99 as a member of my coop, and that's pretty close to the same price as the Kroger brand of milk so I get the OG since it's a coop. They're in such demand I can't get the gallons anymore, which are cheaper for us.
