Can you use the liquid aminos the same way as soy sauce?
We've switched over to this.
I wondered if it loses nutrients or changes composition when cooked with.
for example, We bake chicken in soy sauce.

thx

Living Nutrition Magazine had this to say about Braggs:

Warning: Do not use Bragg's Liquid Aminos. It is not a health food. It is dead, processed with hydrochloric acid, extrememly salty, contains glutamic acid (a toxic component of MSG), and has made may people become ill. --Editor

I use Braggs in almost every recipe. This is scary information. Does anyone else have anymore information regarding Amandasmom findings? I thought I was making a wise choice by using Braggs. Maybe not....

Here's a discussion on another board that I visit that talks in detail on how and why the FDA had Braggs remove their "NO MSG" label because it indeed did have MSG in it. And other interesting things. Soy Sauce is a much better alternative IMO.

Thanks for that wonderful information! and the banana discussion on the last board depressed me.... I've been buying organic banana's from Dole. I don't think we have any other choice, but I'll check it out tomorrow at the store. You can just never do enough, can you???

Yeah, the banana debate has been going on for a long time. I can understand why they say you shouldn't eat them, but I still do and will continue to eat them. Why? Well, it's impossible to find a fruit or veggie that isn't a hybrid anymore. I think its more important to eat fresh, uncooked fruits and veggies (organic when you can afford it) then to worry over how far along the hybrid line it is.
