I need help with this. Some off my favorite things are stewed fresh veggies spooned over french bread. Or roasted veggies on ciabatta bread. Mmmmm...I can't find a whole wheat alternative. We use whole wheat pasta only and tortillas and sandwich bread. But I'm having a tough time with these two things. Any ideas?

I second the sourdough. I'm not a big on whole wheat bread either. I've eaten white bread all my life. Its tough to switch but sourdough is a good alternative. It is a low glycemic index food.

Tell me more... Isn't sourdough made with white bread? I'm not making my own bread right now. Two little ones have made that impossible at the moment. Why is sourdough better?

Sourdough is acidic so it slows down the digestive process. It releases sugar into your blood slowly instead of spiking it like white bread or sugary stuff.
