I am making salsa. It's very spicy. Can I do anything to reduce the heat of it? Can I say, drop a potato in it for 30 min. to cut the spicyness?

I'd like to figure out how to reduce the heat before I can it, which I need to do in the very near future.

The only way I know how to do it is to "dilute" it with a lot more of all the other ingredients.

Not very convenient though - sorry!

I would just add more tomatoes - I think that would work.
