I have some peppermint oil that I use to make cleaning products. Its about a year old. I took it out the other day and it smells awful. Not pepperminty at all. Its from whole foods but is a good brand. Wondering if I could take it back.

That's strange! Most decent-quality essential oils can last for years. See if you can return it; if you can't, throw it out.
