"Precondition" nipples with lansinoh before babe arrives? - Mothering Forums

Anybody tried this? On another site, I saw a recommendation to start applying lansinoh to nipples in the last month of pregnancy, sort of as a preventive measure. What do you think?

I've been using a bit of the cocoa butter based cream that I'm using on my belly on my nipples each time because they just seem dry to me. I can't see that it would hurt anything!

I have done this every time and never once had cracked nipples with a newborn. I always recommend doing it the last month of pregnancy when I know a mom wants to nurse. I really think it helps.
