I have an herbal ointment that contains comfrey. On the back it says to use on cracked or sore nipples. Is this safe for a baby to ingest? If using this, do I need to wash my nipples off before nursing? If it has all soaked in, is there still any concern? Thanks Mamas!
Thought I would update what I've found in case anyone else is wondering. The Nursing Mother's Herbal has info starting on page 150 saying comfrey is not safe. The link takes you to pg. 154 which has a a little info, but scroll back to 150 for more.
