I nursed DD (3 years) for 15 months and despite some challenges early on we had a great nursing relationship. Fast forward to now. DS is 7 weeks and while BF is going well it's been much more challenging mentally. He is gaining extremely well and don't have supply issues or any other medical issue but it feels like he nurses CONSANTLY!! I know this is normal but I find it difficult to not be able to manage life's basic tasks at the moment (get something to eat, go to the bathroom etc.)

He also cluster feeds and is soooooo fussy most evenings. Last night he fussed, cried and nursed on and off from 5 until 9 when he fell asleep for the night.

Again I know this is normal but after several weeks it's become very emotionally and physically draining. My husband is on vacation and has been a huge help but I'm very stressed about how I will manage on my own when have my daughter to look after and can't even put DS down for even a minute.

I'm wondering if a wrap or carrier I could nurse him in would help. I currently have one that I use but it wouldn't allow for very discrete nursing. Does anyone have any recommendations? I know this will get better but at the moment I need to find some ideas to help make things easier in the meantime. I feel so stressed and overwhelmed most days.

I'm sorry I don't have any suggestions for you but I am bumping this up for more attention.  You may also want to look in the babywearing forum for ideas on carriers that make BF'ing easier.

i'm so sorry to hear you are going through this. your situation sounds so similar to my experience with DS who is now 2.5. honestly, the only thing that helped was time. things got better the older he got. i remember wanting to pull my hair out.  i was fortunate in that he was my first and i didn't have another little one to look after at the time. i'm sorry i don't have anything more helpful to offer. hug2.gif
