I just found out that I have gallstones and have been having attacks every couple of days. The pain is totally incapacitating and sometimes worse that labor. To minimize that I have had to change my diet very significantly in a matter of days -- tea, a few vegetables, some quinoa -- which, while we ate organic, pasture-raised, no processed food included wheat, dairy, eggs, meat etc. DD is almost one and her stomach seems to be bothering her a bit, though she is also about to cut a couple of teeth.
I know that you aren't supposed to detox while breastfeeding and this wasn't my choice. Now I'm trying to figure out how to minimize the impact on her, especially since I am probably going to have surgery soon.

Look at it this way, it's better that you breastfeed and do what you need to do for your own health than it would be if you weren't breastfeeding her. Try not to feel bad about your diet changes; kids have fussy times (especially with teething).
