I am breastfeeding my 11month old, but he is starting to night wean and increase solids during the day. My cycle still hasn't returned. If I get pregnant, I would really like to know exactly when withouthaving to have an early ultrasound!

I am not noticing cervical/mucus or basal temp changes like I do while not breastfeeding. How would I figure it out? Would keeping track of when I have sex and taking a pregnancy test 2 weeks after each time work? Would a positive show up at 2 weeks? It would be worth the effort if it helped date a pregnancy! Any one experienced in this?

Do you have charts or charting software so that you can start charting what is going on? You could share your chart here in the Fertility forums and see if the moms there have any input.

If you're not avoiding pregnancy and BD'ing even through apparently fertile CM, I would temp and any consistent temp-rise would likely be O and conception in retrospect.

....I'm not bothering temp'ing until I notice the return of fertility signs, which last time was 18 months PP, so I'm in no rush. Personally, I wouldn't bother temp'ing until I was suspect of their return.

I'm wondering the same thing... maybe use the clearblue with conception indicator every two weeks?

Thanks..I didn't think about charts being easier to interpret in retrospect...also think I will do a test every 2 weeks. What are signs of fertility returning anyway?

Here's an article about postpartum fertility:
