I normally eat a very natural diet, and I had some artificial cheese crackers on the airplane recently because I was STARVING and forgot to bring a snack. Then I was served food with margarine at a restaurant on the same day, and I was still starving, so I had that too without complaint.

Today, my daughter seems to have looser, more frequent poops, and the last two poops were REALLY orangey.

I know orange can mean irritation.... But could it also just be orange from the artificial food coloring? Should I be looking for a pediatrician?

This is likely just a fallout from eating the junk food, and I would think it sbould go back to normal soon, if it hasn't already. If there is mucous, that would indicate inflammation and potentially need diet changes, but I am willing to bet there is nothing to worry about here. Just goes to show that what we eat does have an impact on oir LOs. smile.gif

Yes, the food color can get into your milk. So the poops can be the color of the food. No need to call the Dr. Baby will be fine

Thanks. I did wait it out an saw her poop go back to normal. This just begs the question... Will a blue ICEE make her poop purple? Not an experiment I will be trying, but it is fascinating!
