We have been battling thrush for about 3 months on and off. I have zero symptoms except sometimes my nipple looks a little red on one side. My DD has little white spots in her mouth (not really on her tongue) and gets a yeast diaper rash at times. We have tried gentian violet, grape seed extract, probiotics and putting her in disposables. I am thinking we are going to have to do the medication route which I really hate. Am I missing anything that would kick this thrush out of here? Neither of us have bad symptoms, is this something she will just outgrow or do we need to get medication? Help!
Are you treating yourself each time?
Use whatever treatment you're comfortable with, but you do have to treat yourself every single time you treat your daughter. Even after I felt we were clear, I still took extra probiotics and slathered my nipples in coconut oil. Another thing to consider is your diet.
