PMS and nursing

My son will be 2 in 2 weeks and he still nurses 4-5X a day. I've had my period back since he was 14 months but this month I had the WORST PMS symptoms related to nursing. Nursing actually was physically revolting to me for about a day. I could not stand it and I wanted him OFF me. I just wanted him to STOP touching me.

And just like that it went away. It was a rough 24 hours though.

Does this happen to a lot of people?

I'm actively starting to wean now, for a number of reasons. The "Don't offer don't refuse" tactic doesn't work on this kid.

Do you take a calcium/magnesium supplement for PMS? It can help with the symptoms that make nursing more difficult. It sounds like you are having a nursing aversion. I have heard of women having that as their babies get older.

I don't take any supplements except Dmannose to help with chronic UTIs. However my PMS was so bad this month that I need to look into supplements.
