Baby refusing to breastfeed

Hi! I'm looking for some advice, I am a new mom with a 3 month old baby boy. He's been nursing since birth, we've used a nipple shield until about two weeks ago and he didn't need it anymore. He's always been a great eater, for the last couple weeks he's been eating every 4 hours about 15-20 minutes on both sides. Well the other day after eating for 10 minutes he wouldn't eat on the other side. He pushed away got fussy and wouldn't eat anymore. Since then it's been a challenge to get him to eat for more than 20 minutes. I'm worried he's not getting enough and I'm trying to feed him every 2 1/2 - 3 hours just in case but he still gets frustrated after 10 minutes. And sometimes he will seem content but other times he will still be fussy and yet not want to eat. What do I do?

Do you have a la leche league or new moms group you could attend? That might be a good place to start. Otherwise I would continue to nurse on demand. How is he pooping & peeing? Kellymom.com has great info as well.

Is he gaining weight? Going through at least 6 wet diapers in a 24 hour period? If so, I wouldn't worry.
