Something just doesn't quite make sense to me, and I wonder if anybody has an answer.
If I have insufficient glandular tissue, can domperidone (or anything, for that matter) really work, because there isn't much there to stimulate?
My own story is that my dd was birthed without any medications, I nursed within about 20 minutes of her birth, and I never became engorged, or even felt milk come in. After everything, three LCs told me that I couldn't nurse, and oh, by the way, did your breasts change during pregnancy? (they hadn't.)
I tried everything, and long story short(er), I'm still "nursing" her (almost 7 months) with a Lact-Aid supplementer. I've seen suggestions about using domperidone, but how can it work when there isn't anything to work on?
Any experiences you can share with me? I'm trying to work through my grief about the process, because we'd like to start "working" on dc #2, and I'd like to get information so that I can make a decision about what to do the next time. Anything would help.
