Hello ~

I have too low of estrogen levels and my OB prescribed Loestrin24fe for me to take. I am having irritation and pain. He said that my lining is too thin. I do not want to take it because I am very concerned about the effects on my milk. When I called today they prescribed Premarin Cream. Has anyone used this while breastfeeding? Any advice? I wanted Estrace, but he will not prescribe that for me?

I am not sure what to do? What would you do?

Many Blessings ~ Rachel

Do you mean vaginal irritation & pain? Try asking for a local vaginal treatment, like a cream or Estring (vaginal ring). That can help with local symptoms without reducing your milk supply.

Loestrin can also cause a reduction in milk supply, since it has estrogen as well.
