Hi there, ladies.

Today is my son's 7 week birthday, and up until last night, his poop really hasn't smelled at all. However, last night... well, it was smelly. Any clue what could be causing this? Is it something that normally occurs as the child gets older, or is it more likely something I ate? Any info would be appreciated!

I've noticed if I eat certain things (greens\veggies notorious for gassy effects) boober ends up with smelly poo. Coffee or tea makes him smellier too. Generally, whatever makes us adults smell worse (poo wise) seems to make them the same too. I think it's normal.

Sorry if this is TMI, but I notice when I have gas, dd does as well, so I think just minor things in our diet can affect them. I wouldn't worry, some days it's stinky, some days it's not. Oh and be prepared that as your dc grows the consistency will change. We don't do solids yet but still it is thicker and slightly darker in color at almost 5 mos. Oh and the pooping may very well space out, do not be alarmed, it is normal. Ok, more than you asked but I've recently had all these poop ?'s myself so there you go.
