Anyone know what herbal teas are safe while breastfeeding? I did a google search and looked through my breastfeeding books and I've come up empty!

Several companies make nursing teas, which are definitely safe for breastfeeding. I mostly stick to those, rooibos or Fortune Delight.

Even basic things like spearmint and peppermint can affect milk production, which is why I stick to the ones I mentioned.

I use camomile (sp?) and sleepytime tea at night I checked with my LLL leader first. i read that camomile helps me and baby be calm and if you drink three cups a day can help with gas. and ds is really gasy. i'm trying to limit foods but even when i'm good he's still gassy. and this seems to help a little.

Most black and green teas are o.k as long as they have no other herbs added. For a look at every herb check out this link:

I always check here when I am unsure of an herb in one of my teas. Like pp said Nursing tea is fine of course and I drink it daily
