I looked on his site but can not find PEPTO BISMOL CHEWABLES

The medical name is bismuth subsalicylate and Hale lists it as an L3 in his 2006 edition. The concern is with the salicylate and Reye syndrome. He states that significant levels of salicylate can be absorbed, and for that reason it should not be routinely used.

You can read the page on amazon.com if you find the 2006 edition and 'search inside' for bismuth subsalicylate .
