There is an area at the top of my pump that breast milk doesn't go through but I guess it got some milk in there and I just was taking my pump apart to clean it and there is mold there, I washed it all off but do I need to get a new pump now or is it okay to use still?

I'd be sure to clean that part with vinegar, but if the milk doesn't go through that part, it is probably fine unless your family has serious mold allergies.

You should probably boil all your pump parts for 20 minutes. Anything that touches milk, especially. I do it every month or so, although technically I guess you're supposed to do that much more often. Check your owner's manual to figure out which parts you can boil and what you can't.

I had this happen with my Medela Harmony manual pump. I didn't want to risk it, so I threw that part out. However, I called Medela, and they sent me a new piece free of charge in 2 days. Might be worth a try to call...
