Thanks for all the CD input. I poked around more online last night and discovered that I hadn't realised there was a difference between 'fitted' and 'contour.' Oops. I am sure I will have more specific questions later on, for now I'm still just trying to even figure out what the options are and what all the different terms mean.

And the Diapering board scares me! : It's so much information!

:LOL btdt Patchfire!

Have you been to www.diaperpin.com ? They have a diapering dictionary that explains what everything is and what the terms mean. Even an "expert" like me still gets overwhelmed by the vast amount of information and choices available. And it's always changing too. Sometimes I think gee its just so much easier to stick to prefolds and wraps but then again its fun to buy those cute diapers and covers/soakers.

Part of what I'm trying to figure out is what dh will use - he was fantastic with dd about taking over the diapering duties most of the time he was home, and I don't want to lose that! I'm sure that the easiest way to get him to use them would be AIOs, but I look at the price and go 'uh, no, not all the time,' lol. We shall see.

(And yes, the little tiny diapers are ADORABLE!!)

I found my dh was more apt to change diapers when I used babysoftwraps and mypreciousbabys. The plus side is you can re-use the cover since the soaker snaps-in making it a bit more affordable than a true AIO, and faster drying!

He also liked pocket diapers as long as they were prestuffed. Otherwise I would find them with a) nothing inside the pocket b) a wipe inside the pocket or c) a doubler inside the pocket.

I just got my first nb fitted yesterday. I have made some nb fitteds that were smaller than this so I am hoping this one will fit baby. But that is why I have preemie and infant CPF for backup

No shopping yet. My daughter is only 3 so naturally I still have everything. I was given 3 big bags of boy clothes so if this baby is a boy, I have some stuff and I know where the "used baby clothes store" is located and I plan to buy anything I may need there.

Our carseat is only 3 years old and only used by my daugther for 4 months (when she outgrew the height of 26 inches). I still have my swing but I don't have a sling and I'm thinking I'll buy one this time around and I'm considering cloth diapers.

Everything else, I have already!
