What do you think of the name Azrael Alexander for the son we're expecting in April? We like how it sounds, but I'd love a little constructive feedback.

I love he first name but I really like unique names. I could pass on Alexander but if YOU like it all is well.

I'm not nuts about Alexander either, for a lot of reasons (even before that horrible movie!) but it's my SO's favorite name. I have to give him something!

I don't know how you pronounce the Smurf -cat name, because I've never watched them, but I guess after the baby's born I'll get to know a lot of stuff like that!

It's a name with a good history. Strong and masculine, although nearly unheard of here.

Azrael "whom God helps" -- called the "archangel of death"...

I think there's mixed connotations to the name among those who would recognize it. Although Azrael is called the angel of death, he is also patron of clergy, and the ... bridge between men and God, the one who leads people from this life to the next.
