She sent me an email last night and asked me not to tell anyone and asked me if I had any natural "rememdies" that could help her as she thinks she has PPD. I had severe PPD and PTSD after my first was born but refused to take an anti-depressant for it and at the time was kind of leery of any herb because I was b/f dd1, so I never looked into any.

She 4 mos. PP with her first dc and is NOT b/f her but she still wants to avoid she wouldn't really have to worry about any side effects an herb could have on her dd. Has anyone tried anything natural that actually helped??

Thanks so much to anyone who can help!! smile.gif I am off to google herbs for PPD.

Magnesium (Natural Calm is what I take), Vit D, Omega 3 and the book, THE MOOD CURE.

She should also get her thyroid levels checked, by a doctor (not necessarily an endo) who actually knows what he's doing. Things to check: TSH, Free T4, Free T3
