So, my biggest problem with writing is I don't do it. Ok, I'm sure there are other problems, but hey, if ya don't write, ya aren't even going to get past the other problems.

I know some places look for submissions, or have contests, whatever. I'm hoping if I have a 'reason' to write, that will give me at least the impetus to get started on something, even if I don't bother sending it. If I do send it, it's not like people are going to care if my writing bites.

Any ideas?

thx
Tammy

Tammy, I've seen many contests listed in 'Writers Digest' magazine. There was one a while back that I could shoot myself for missing the deadline. It was a call for 'Short-shorts' I can't remember the desired word count, but it was definately possible, though it IS hard to write a really compelling story that is also very short.

I'd love to hear from others

Kelly~~

Hiya,
There's a place called pindeldyboz.com that puts about 5 stories on their website every week. I got one "published" there a couple years ago. I'm not wild about everything they take, but some of it's good. The good thing is they take a lot of stories and read them quick so you're not waiting for months, and the odds are better than many places.
