I am about to release a revised book and am considering spiral binding. RIght now I am using comb binding with custom printing on the spine (it's a handbook that needs to be able to be folded in half easily). I'm thinking about spiral binding for the next edition, however, I am gonig to be putting this in some bookstores and I don't know what the stores will prefer - comb or spiral. I know they don't like books with either, but what would they prefer better? Anyone know? I need to get an order in asap with the company I use to print my spines if I decide to use comb binding.

If I do go to spiral binding I will need my own machine for putting the books together. Having never used one before, I dont' know what to look for. The book is about 130 pages long, 8.5x11 printed front and back. Can anyone share recommendations for me? I currently have a comb binding machine and have put together all of the books and would prefer to do that to keep the costs low.
