So we are looking to move within the next year, and there are many factors in the decision, but one of them is being close to a uni that offers an MFA in writing... Now, if this was the only factor, it might be easier to figure this out on my own.... and of course, moving to a place doesn't guarantee that I will get into the program Anyway, some of the places we are contemplating are Missoula (University of Montana), Eugene (University of Oregon), and possibly Moscow (University of Idaho). So you get the idea of the area of the country we are looking at.... anyhow, how would you rank these? UO is by far the most attractive because everyone who is accepted gets a TA-ship (or whatever they call it), but dh wants to be somewhere a little more like Moscow - more rural.... also, any ideas of other programs in this part of the country (WA, and Northern CA, specifically) would be most appreciated!

I have heard a lot of good things about the program at UO. You can have both college town and rural around Eugene. Check out around Cottage Grove.
