we tried finger knitting the other day. i was looking for some other activities my little one could do with her yarn. earthways (love this book) has instructions of yarn dolls, pom pom balls and weaving between a V-shaped branch. i am just starting my search and i was looking for some other suggestions.

5 finger knitting, loom knitting ,luceting, knitting nancy cardboard weaving. if your dc can finger knit making a chain with a crochet hook might be cool.

fun ideas!

for christmas ornaments, you can also wrap yarn around a round form and make a yarn ball ornament...stick wooden skewers or toothpicks with a bead on one end through it and its like knitting needles with yarn.

you could also so yarn and paper crafts, like gluing on bits of yarn to make designs.. we like to do this with dried beans too.

Once in while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.... mama of 4 lovelies, an angel, and one on the way.

We have found a few more activities with children and yarn to do. Weaving from a piece of cardboard. And wrapping cookie cutters with wool to make ornaments. This might even be the gifts we give family with a wet felted acorn.
