Let's get together a list of our favorite winter books. I loved reading everyone's recommendations of the autumn books. Our winter books include Owl Moon, The Big Snow, The Snowman, and Stone Soup. What winter books do you like?

We're in a similar situation - plan to spend Jan & Feb in Hawaii with my dad. Almost seems like we're skipping winter (which is ok with me, but feel like DS might miss out??)

OT: Have you been to Bali? DH and I got married there and spent honeymoon there. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT! Have fun!

oooH, i love this thread! i actually read the list then ran to the closet and pulled out our box of winter books

i have been collecting books since i can remember and have found some real treasures in thrift shops.. we have many "jan brett" books, and love them all..

i second "when winter comes" my granfather gifted this book to my children a few eyars ago and we read it over and over..

i <3 the elsa beskow books, and plan to get a few winter ones for the kids this year. we borrow them from the library but do not own any ollies ski trip is on my list, as is all year round.

i love love the story of the snow children as well!

a few that are not listed here that i recommend.. "winter magic" by eveline hasler is one, but i searched the web and it looks like its out of print..?!
" snow tree" is quite lovely..

i could writre a huge list,
but im wondering if anyone has read this book, i found it on amazon and it looks lovely!

Once in while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.... mama of 4 lovelies, an angel, and one on the way.

We just discovered a lovely new book this weekend that I wanted to share. Did you know Santa Claus was raised by Fairies?

Read all about it in The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus by L. Frank Baum (the man who wrote The Wizard of Oz). The story is actually 100 years old and newly re-released with gorgeous illustrations.
