We're looking to find an international au pair who is familiar with Waldorf philosophy.  Any ideas for how to go about looking?  I'd thought to contact Waldorf high schools, but we want someone who is at least 19.  Are there message boards, listserves for young adults with Steiner education?  Any ideas would be great!  Thanks!

It does seem like Waldorf schools would at least know of recent graduates that could be directed to you if they were looking for this type of work. Not sure about the listserves, but I'm sure others will be along with ideas.

Our Steiner school (UK) publishes a newsletter weekly and there are often ads from students wanting to come over to and au pair or sometimes families looking for an English speaking au pair to come to Europe.  I would try contacting schools and see if you could run an ad with them or they could post it on their bulletin board. Do you have a preferred country where the au pair is from?

This magazine goes out four times a year to families in many (most? not sure) Waldorf schools in the Netherlands.

The website is obviously in Dutch, but if you email in English, I'm sure they can read it. Most Dutch people around the age to au pair speak very good English.

Anyway, hope this helps!

Just a thought: If you are looking for an au-pair form Germany, he or she would be 19 when finishing (Waldorf-)school.
