If you live in the Seattle area and are interested in Waldorf education, I highly recommend going to the Curriculum Fair and Open House at Seattle Waldorf School. It is from 10 AM - 1 PM Saturday January 22nd. Address and directions can be found at www.seattlewaldorf.org

Kindergarten through 8th grade curriculum will be presented and the teachers will be there to answer questions. In the past, there have been representatives from the other area Waldorf schools: Bright Water, Three Cedars, Hazel Wolf High School and Sound Circle Teacher training. So even if you aren't interested in Seattle Waldorf, the other schools will be there too to answer questions.

Thanks Rhonwyn. Do you happen to know if/when there will be a kindergarten open house? We went to one last year and I seem to recall it being a week or two after the main open house. TIA!!

There is a Kindergarten Open House the week after on Saturday January 29th. You need to RSVP for that one and it is no kids: parents only. At the Curriculum Fair and Open House, you can bring your kids. They have a kid play room or your kids can hang out with you. The teachers just get really uncomfortable talking specifically about children in front of children. Little pitchers have big ears so that is why the Kindergarten Open House is parents only.

Bump! I'll be a greeter there today. If you do attend, let me know what you honestly think. The committe in charge of the open houses are always looking for ways to improve them. I'll pass the info. on to them. Thanks!

We're all sick, especially my 1-year old who is coughing almost nonstop. So, we won't be able to make it today. Hope everything goes well. We were really impressed at the open house last year.
