Anyone out there with good ideas for non-plastic bath toys? My ds is *almost* one.

Thank you!

Enamelware cups-- like those sold for camping. Little stainless bowls or measuring cups, stailnless funnels, old fashioned egg beater --the kind with the gear that you turn. Small kitchen colanders.

My DD's favourite shower/bath toys are containers for holding and pouring water (we use a stainless steel thermos cup lid) and her wooden whale that her dad made for her first birthday to encourage her to bathe 'let's give the whale a swim!'. Of course, wood boats are a classic as well .

Thanks so much for the good ideas.

I also came up with one myself today. DS *loves* seashells. And they were MADE for the water!

Also, pinecones might make cool floaty things. Haven't tried that yet, though.

Yeah, we have a basket of shells, round river rocks and small pieces of driftwood. My kids love big clam shells for filling and pouring. We also found a few cute cotton terrycloth starfish we throw in.
