Paper,Scissors, Stone sells a crayon sharpener now, but we always have used the big, plastic Lyra pencil sharpener shown on this page, and it has worked just great.

Regards,

Lucie

I've used a big sharpener I found in the cosmetics section at the supermarket--it was intended to sharpen the fatter lip or eye pencils.

Why would you want to sharpen them!!!Such a waste... I am a Waldorf "Lifer", and never sharpened any of my crayons. My teachers taught us that by turning the crayon regularly during use kept it sharp enough to write with, and shading also accomplishes this perfectly. These crayons are not crayolas! I have had my set for the last 30-something years, and they are as beautiful now as they were the day i got them in school!

thanks oldmama44- I'll try and work on dd turning the crayon. The problem is she is stubborn about wanting them "sharp" enough to make clear lines!
