April 14th, 2007
11:30am – 2:30pm
The Teddy McArdle Free School will be holding its first open house
enrollment day at 139 Main Street, Little Falls, NJ 07424, in the
school space of the United Methodist Church, the tentative location
for the school for the 2007 – 2008 school year. Parents, children, and
other interested individuals are welcome to attend. The open house
will include a casual tour of the school space in the church; time to
meet and greet with the school founders, board members, and other
potentially interested families; and a chance to enroll in the school
for the 2007 – 2008 school year.
This is a wonderful time to be able to see the school space. Over the
next month, we are finalizing the paperwork with the town board of
Little Falls to make this site the official space for the school, but
along with the church and the town, we are confident that this space
will be the ultimate location for the school. The space itself is
fantastic, with four rooms that can then be subdivided into seven
smaller rooms, a large auditorium and kitchen that we will share with
the church, an enormous parking lot and a small side yard, which can
be used as a playground, and local stores and two parks within walking
distance of the school. The church is also conveniently located right
off of Route 46 and Route 23, making transportation easier for those
of you coming from a distance.
This will also be an excellent opportunity to meet the other families
that are interested in the school and to have a chance to talk one on
one with those of us who have been shaping the school over the last
And finally, we'll also be handing out a packet of enrollment
documents. The school enrollment for this coming year will be capped
at 35 students, and so, it is important to enroll your children as
soon as possible, as we'll be working on a first come, first served
basis and will then start a waiting list once we've reached capacity.
We'll be enrolling children ages 5 though 14 (ultimately reaching up
to 18 year olds in future years).
We look forward to seeing you there! In the meantime, if you have
questions, please feel free to contact Alex Khost, email:firstname.lastname@example.org
, phone: 201-709-1470. We'll also continue to hold
our bi-weekly planning meetings at the Caldwell Public Library, which
are open to the general public. Visit our website at:http://tmcafs.org/
for more information.
