Um, yeah. This did not happen to me at all when I was pregnant with ds, but I've had some swelling going on for several weeks now. Anyone else experiencing this? It is not terribly painful or anything, just mildly uncomfortable at times. I'm not sure if there's anything I can do or if I just have to deal with it...

I've had this too this pregnancy. I didn't have it w/DS. Mine isn't painful. It actually feels kinda good. :LOL

I'm not sure what you could do for it (hopefully it's not too painful). Maybe warm compresses???

I know there's more blood flow to that region than normal during pg. It factors in to why it's easier for some women to achieve orgasms when they're pg.

I've not had it with any of my pg's though.

I would think a cool compress would be helpful if it becomes too uncomfortable, since it may bring down swelling. If it's not painful, though, I wouldn't worry about it.

I have it right now, but I think it's because I have a roaring yeast infection. Sorry if that was TMI.

I had it the worst in my 2nd pg. It got to the point where I was bruising from the amount of swelling. My midwife put some arnica on it when she checked me once. It was quite bad but in the end I was very thankful for it. I think thats what saved me from tearing during birth. This time I have it but if I go take a dip in a cool pool it goes away for a while. Now if the swelling could go from my labia to my clitoris we would be in business

I've had that this pregnancy accompanied by itchiness (not a yeast infection, just from the amount of blood in the area!). A cold washcloth works wonders. I'm thinking that the soaked and frozen pads that are used after giving birth may help a lot too!

Yes, but it's because I have a billion varicose veins in there.

I am getting one varicose vein. Yum. I try to not stand up that much and it really helps. Plus, regular orgasms help the blood get flowing. But you can't blue-ball yourself. You have to come. Sorry if TMI.

Glad to know I'm not the only one, though sorry others have to deal with this too. I guess I'll just ignore it since it's really only uncomfortable every once in a while. I'm thinking I may have a vericose vein, but I'm not sure. I'll keep the cool washcloth in mind for when it bothers me and I'm heading to the pool after ds's nap...

I get it if I've been standing too long. Along with pain in the hips.

Usually just sitting and getting off of my feet gets rid of it.

I use a Sunbeam cold pack. Ah! :LOL It happens to me when I'm on my feet too long. And the heat doesn't help. I wouldn't be too concerned as long as you don't have swelling in your hands, face, and ankles. I wasn't on my feet so much w/ my 1st pregnancy or just 1 kid. But now forget it! It's hard to lie down or put my feet up with a 2 and 4 yr old. I try to when dh gets home.
