Funny. My DH and I were talking about this the other day. Don't like it either.

First and foremost, Mama to Owen blahblah.gif (7/21/04), Annalieseenergy.gif  (7/29/09), and somebody new bigeyes.gif  (due Feb 2012), and wife to Andrew (9/12/98). Also passionate about and loving the work I do in Organizational Development.

We noticed that, too. He looks about 10 years older in the commercial than I'm used to seeing him. Bad lighting, maybe?

I'll be the lone voice of dissension and say that i like it! I think it would look good if he grew it a bit longer and pulled it back in a ponytail. and grow a beard. I love it when he has a beard!

I saw a (I guess new?) epi of good eats the other day where he had his hair like that. I thought it was a old style. It does not flatter him.

Oh come on... it's so sexy!

Just kidding. Maybe he is just trying to cut back on living expenses.... Haircuts can be pricey.

Married to DH 7 years and have three fantastic kiddos! DS 6, DD 4, and DS 2 ...... lo and behold another is on the way!

Yeah, it's about as bad as Adam's (Jamie's? No, no, Adam. I think) on Mythbusters!

A little O/T here, but my dds love the "Kung Fu Panda" DVD and one of the extras is Alton showing how noodles are made and explaining the science behind it!!! My girls adore him and this extra was unexpected and great fun. And IIRC it was made awhile back, so he still has his shorter, spikier 'do in it LOL (see I got back on topic LOL)

Me I love the man, bald, crazy hair or no :

Long enough for a pony tail, that would work for me.

How funny, my SIL and I were just talking about it. He has too much forehead/baldness to pull it back into a pony. He will look like he is trying to compensate for the lack of frontage. Just go bald gracefully, Alton. Much sexier.

I can only theorize that he is intentionally trying to look bad. No idea why he would want to do something like that, but I just can't fathom any other explanation. Maybe is his tired of being ogled or something.

I love Alton Brown! Not a big fan of the new hair-do, but still love him! The first thing I thought when I saw it was mid life crisis, maybe?
