My kids really wanted to watch the show because of the singing and dancing but there is NO WAY in hell they're watching it. I like glee though.

She was wonderful with the Cabaret song, much better than Rachel.

Rachel, who has only one setting: FULL BORE.

She has a lovely voice but can only sing loud, epic and impassioned and with a particular stage quality. I don't know enough about the 'Biz' to describe what I'm talking about. Even when she's singing quietly she seems loud.

I just think of it as a stage voice, a live performance voice, you know? She's projecting to the last row of seats.

Loved the episode.

Say "New Directions" out loud and see what it sounds like

My favorite quote from Sue: "I'll often yell at homeless people: 'Hey, how is that homelessness working out for you? Try not being homeless for once.'" She is so outrageous

I find her (the writing) obnoxious and offensive. I think the writers try too hard to get a point across. Yeah, I get that she's a beyotch, but they don't have to be so darn offensive over and over again.

I love Sue. I was so sad she wasn't in more of the episode last week.

How do you think the Quinn/Finn thing is going to play out?

I can't believe Emma said yes. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. She's supposed to marry Will when he leaves his psycho wife. I can't believe Quinn is giving up the baby. Does she ever plan on telling her parents?

I thought it was hilarious that Emma said yes and then said we would still live on opposite sides of town and not see each other after school ... but that she doesn't want to be alone.

I was a little disappointed by last night's episode, which I guess is bound to happen with this kind of show. I thought the musical numbers were a little flat and they are the main reason I'm watching.

I'm starting to like the wife more than Emma. She (terry?, I forgot the wife's name) made some good points in her little "back away from my man" speech!

To be fair, I was surfing the web while watching last night so perhaps there were lots of lovely nuances I missed.

I fell asleep halfway through, but Sue cracks me up- and yeah she's offensive, the whole dang show is offensive.

Will's wife as the nurse giving everyone uppers also cracked me up.

The show is just wrong wrong wrong like Family Guy. Which I actually don't watch anymore.

It'll be interesting to see how far they take this. I don't think it can go on forever.

I said the same thing to DH. What is going on with Emma -- she was basically throwing herself at Will and then again what is wrong with him for not picking up on it? I guess of all the women on the show, Sue is my favorite -- she is the most likable (even though she is really offensive -- she is hilarious, IMO)

I'm actually not really liking either of the adult leads (Emma & Will). I used to LOVE them both, but they're just annoying me in the last two eps, especially Will.

I really liked the musical numbers last night - the mash-ups. I thought they were awesome, uppers aside :P

I think that's Jane Lynch more than anything, she is sooooo awesome.
Anyone that likes her in Glee should try watching "Party Down". She's just as quirky but also plays a likable character.

Weirdo Mama to amazing Aurelia, age 9 & Ember Roslyn, age 3!

I love Jane Lynch. I haven't seen Party Down yet, but I adored her in the Christopher Guest movies and she was wonderful on The L Word. Sue's journal writing was probably the highlight of this week's episode for me.

I can't stand Emma. Right from the beginning. She reminds me of someone I know in r/l, someone that I wish I had never met. Seems innocent and docile but is evil and conniving inside. Ugh...lol.

When she told Will's wife that Will deserved someone better I wanted to punch the tv screen.

I love Kurt. The preggers episode was great and all his scenes were awesome.

Love that she lied to her journal about her age.

The show has a high production value, is very stylized and funny and, I agree, it can't last forever. Not without it getting soapy and losing some oomph.

I was shocked when Emma told Terri that Will deserves someone better. She right, he does, but I didn't expect her to say that right to his wife's face.

yes, the music was boring. but i liked this episode as a whole better than the previous one (cabaret)

i'm bored with rachel being the lead. she's not that interesting to watch. now that shes on board with being a team player they could give someone else the lead for once.

what about terri telling quinn she can just absorb the cost of the pregnancy!
is anyone else having trouble figuring out the logistics of this plan so that no one ever finds out?

I DID like the music from this past episode, but I agree with you about being bored with Rachel. We've already established she's a great singer, but what about the other girls? We heard Tina sing and she was great - what happened with that? Mercedes had a couple seconds of glory during "Somebody to Love" and the "Bust the Windows" solo and we've had yet to really hear more from Quinn. I hope the other girls get a chance to shine now!

The bit I bolded is probably what will really keep me watching, since Glee on Facebook leaks all the musical numbers there so I can watch them whenever I want, often a whole week prior to the episode.

I've noticed that they leak a LOT of info, and I think I'm going to have to revoke my fandom on facebook, because I really hate knowing anything about an episode of anything before I watch it. So I end up skipping over everything they post on FB.

I feel like we're finally getting some real character development in the last few episodes! Thank goodness. Quinn is proving to be not just a one dimensional "cheerleader bitch" type. I think the same is true for a lot of them.

Psycho Pregnant Wife (can't remember her name) still needs a punch in the face, though. Sorry, I can't get behind being mad at Emma for saying that Will deserves better when his nasty wife is faking a pregnancy.

Also, speaking of Jane Lynch, she is HILARIOUS in Role Models. It's a really funny movie. "Are you trying to BS a BS-er?"
