There are TV shows that I really wish were still on the air. I think of the old episodes and think of the characters : This of course coming from a child that was raised by the television
These are a few I can think of off the top of my head:

Homefront - Set during WWII
Picket Fences - Costas Mandelor (Deputy Kenny)
V - Show with aliens with spots on their heads that got drunk off of sour milk

Darnit, that's all I can think of now. Darn tandem nursing brain

What shows do you miss?

Seinfeld, Are You Being Served?...can't think of any others, but there have been plenty the last couple of years that I wished had not gotten cancelled.

We should play more British sitcoms on American telly.

Firefly (I know, I know, I always mention it)

Freaks and Geeks.

My dh and I discovered this in reruns on some cable channel a few years ago, and we were unaware that it was cancelled after one season, without warning, on a big cliffhanger, too. It was a great show. Linda Cardellini, who plays Sam the nurse on ER, had the main role as a high school girl on the show.

Oh, and I used to be obsessed with "Life Goes On," the one with the family who had a teen son with Down Syndrome, and Chad Lowe played Kellie Martin's boyfriend who had AIDS. LOVED that show.

kerikadi,
I didn't know anybody else watched Homefront. I LOVED!!!! that show. Whenever I see an actor that was on that show, all I can think is "Oh, he used to play so and so on Homefront."
Now back to your regularly scheduled topic.
Gossamer

Seinfield

That's the only show I can think of...we don't watch much tv. I did just catch Curb your Enthusiasm on HBO at a friend's house and am now contemplating ordering HBO for that show : Done by Seinfield producer, right? Something like that.

Ooo, Freaks and Geeks! I loved that show.

Dharma and Greg (although it lives on forever in reruns, but I would have liked to have seen them have kids )

and Firefly..

Fox just cancelled them.. Like that.. at the end of the season with John Doe.. I am still upset as is dh... It's like any show that requires more than 2 brain cells gets the axe..

SOOOO unfair!!!

(grumps away..)

It's lonely being the only XX in a house of XYs.

I totally grew up on Lavern & Shirley.

When DS was a newborn I would watch reruns on Nick at Night at 2:30am and loved it. I was actually dissapointed when he started sleeping more.

I have actually looked for episodes on DVD, but can't find any.

I miss it!

astrid, I have a marathon from a few years ago on tape, from comedy central (when we had cable) it is only a few hours, maybe 4-6, has commercials, but I would be happy to dub it for! I should have a blank tape around here, you'd only have to pay to ship it...pm me if you are interested! I know what its like, that show was soooo funny!

The truest answer to violence is love. The truest answer to death is life. The only prevention for violence is for the heart to have no violence within it.  We cannot prevent evil through any system devised by mankind. But we can grapple with evil and defeat it, but only with love—real love.
