So, has anyone seen the first couple of episodes? I don't think they have officially aired in North America, but I have seen the first two and wanted to hear other's opinions.

Anyways, I was satisfied with the premiere.... I wasn't that impressed with Matt Smith as the doctor but I LOVED the new companion Amy. She was great!

However, in the second episode the new Doctor Who totally grew on me, loved the writing in the second episode, and I am still LOVING Amy. I generally do like the companions (With the exception of Martha), but I think Amy might be something special.

Inpatiently waiting for them to air here in North America! I will miss David Tennant, but really want to give the new doc a chance.

Can I admit to not liking David Tennant when he first became the Doctor?

Definitely... I didn't lol! I always feel a wee bit betrayed when the Doctors leave which makes me hold it against the new one!

Yeah I hated David Tennant at first and was totally annoyed by loosing Christopher Eckleson, but then I LOOOOOOVED David Tennant, so I'm willing to give Matt Smith a chance.

Second episode was really good. I wish Ameila was still Ameila and not "Amy" though

Yes, PLEASE... Where can I watch this online? The best I've been able to do is see about 2/3 of Eleventh Hour in 1 minute youtube posts. I'll have to say, although I am still wearing black for David, Matt Smith is definitely growing on me. I'm really looking forward to seeing how he develops as the Doctor. Also can't wait to see what Steven Moffat cooks up. Love his stories

I didn't like David Tennant at first either, but after awhile I thought he was great. I can't wait to see the new one, too!

Scroll down to Doctor Who, it's the BBC website. Not sure if you can play it, but it's worth a try.

Thanks again for the heads up!

Yeah, I like Amy too.

I like it reluctantly. It seems like it was written by marketers who studied highlights from the whole series, focusing in on all the the best, most charming aspects of the Doctor and the series. But that's me being cynical.

I think the part that bugged me the most was the food thing... I don't know why though! I just couldn't imagine The Doctor *throwing* food around! Lol! We watched the last episode of season 4 a few days ago- I miss the old Doctor!

Good point! Yes, the Doctor shouldn't be spitting and throwing food!

we saw it, i have to say i didn't like the doctor's over reaction to what amy did. specially when in the end she was the only one to see what actually needed to be done. and then he never says sorry and she still wants to go with him, very co-dependent. lol

Yeah, I noticed his little hissy fit, too. I don't know, but I suspect it's true to how the old doctors used to be. Affectionate towards humans, but feeling massively superior.

Would you really want the Doctor to apologize? I'm not sure I do. And given the choice between having mad adventures with the Doctor and getting married, Amy is feeling pretty conflicted.

yes i would. maybe not say "i'm sorry" but i don't know, complement her on the fact that she has some brains o that because she is human, she can see what he doesn't. i don't know. i guess my big "issue" with doctor who in general is who on earth would want to travel with that guy for more then a few trips, he is a complete jerk alot of the times and he toys with their emotions and is so insecure that he bashes the men. who is he? i mean really. lol the shows are so compelling, the doctor isn't really, for me, the best part. he sort of pisses me off. lol (thankfully the last 5 seasons he has at least been nice to look at.)

I like it! I've seen three episodes and the next one is tomorrow, the second half of a two-parter. I did not like the first episode much, and the second also seemed like a watered down version of several previous episodes, but I loved the last episode!

Anyone seen that yet?

Considering she knows his real name, it is supposed that she is his wife (RE: The Library).
