More frightening is their website from PBS.

http://pbskids.org/boohbah/boohbah.html

Sometimes I wish the Brittish would keep their kids shows to themselves instead of scarring america's children for life. I've seen two interviews with Ragdoll founder Ann Wood, and she is utterly clueless.

Hey Ann, did ya enjoy the '60's? A little too much LSD for ya? Uh huh.

They look like telletubies on steroids wrapped in colored saran wrap. It's like the telletubies weren't freakish enough, Ann had to take it one trip farther. The folks over at PBS are pretty out of it to put this kind of crap on TV. But, be happy that your tax dollars are making that Brit wealthy.

I think you are talking about the Boobahs. My 13 yo read an article about them that said they are supposed to be atoms. :

We watched it one time. I didn't like it though. Seems mindless to me. They are scary to me too. I wouldn't want my baby watching it.

Reminds me of the Teletubbies with the mindlessness (is that a word?) Then again I don't like the teletubbies either.

Do you mean the British? :

How were America's children scarred for life - can you clarify this?

Sorry Lisa, this does belong in the Media forum. I am going to move it over there and merge it with your other post.

We just saw it, and it looked like a bad rendition of an acid trip. It made my daughter do this and did not inspire her to any exercise whatsoever. YUCK! We will not be turning this on in our house again.

I'm : at all the descriptions...hee...

I don't care for 'em...they're a little freaky.

And after seeing the interview with the creators of Teletubbies on one of their DVD's I'm underwhelmed with their extensive "research." But that's just my .02.

Some of us think this show's a bit--odd--and are joking about it. I think WTC was exaggerating and poking fun, not at a person, but at a television show. Or is that taboo? Will the writing police ban us from the board now? I mean we've got spelling errors, run on sentences AND exaggeration! Yikes!! :

Thank you, Susan! I noticed some of us are a little sensitive about these day-glo boobs.

I visited their web site. :

OMG! They are FARTING! There is no doubt about it! This just proves what I suspected when Teletubbies came on the scene: Ann Wood is trying to put one over on us. And she's making millions doing it, apparently.

Someone moved my effing cheese.

I think they look like babies crowning, but whatever. My dd loves them and thinks they are hilarious. She dances with them and everything. She plays on the website almost daily with me. Go boohbahs! :LOL

I gotta say it, we like boohbah over here. . . dd does wonder where their mouth's are, though!

do they look like boobies? intact penises?

we haven't watched the show many times, but the kids do really like the website. they actually crack up (which makes me laugh, so it's all good )

of course, we like the teletubbies, too. :

They remind me of that character from the McDonald's commercials, Grimace, if you squished him down like he was made of play doh. (Do they still have Grimace?)
