I think Donald always kind of roots for the underdog, but when they continually let him down, he has no choice. I also think that alot of that is the producers trying to make us see some kind of forced bonding so that we a re more sympathetic to the loser. Bottom line is Chris was way too young and unstable for the job...his firing was inevitable.

I was amazed that Chris lasted that long as well, but when he started crying, my heart went out to him. I think he really tried hard, and it was so important to him. I have been there before, when I have tried my damndest and it just wasn't enough. It sucks. I think he did the best that he could, but he needs to grow up more before he could handle a big company. He probably would benefit from goin to college as well. I like how Donald responded to him. He will probably do well in life overall, he has done pretty well making himself a milionaire by the age of 21.

I am surprised at the talent of the girl who made the brochure. I lost a lot of respect for Tana and (? can't remember his name) as well when they went to bed. How many chances are they going to have like this?

The previews for next week look good.

I am glad Bren is gone...and I like the way he handled his departure. Very mature. You could tell he almost handed himself over to be fired for his friend...I also like what he said about his family being the most important.

On the other hand..I dont really care for Kendra but I REALLY dont like the way Craig treats her! He was bad about it before but I really felt his condescending attitude last night and I was pissed off!

The final four should be interesting to see!

Yeah but what a great opportunity for those three to get George and Carolyn on their side.

I missed the first half - what did the winning team invent, anyway?

I adored Bren. The bow ties, the quirkiness, the all-around-good-guyness. I'm sorry to see him go, because he's the only one I'd actually want to spend time around. On the other hand, he's not mogul material, I suppose. I was surprised he lasted so long, but I think part of it is that his personality was incapable of alienating any of the others, so no one ever turned on him particularly viciously. It was interesting how in the boardroom you could just see him step back internally and realize he didn't actually want it. It takes a fair amount of maturity to know what you actually value in life.

The others are just carbon copies of the kind of folks I work with everyday. No mystique there...

Yeah..I liked him okay at first but when he was a little TOO excited about the Dove body wash idea (all the porn references) it made me shudder a bit....

Oh yes, the Dove body wash thing. I said I liked him, I didn't say he had good ideas! :LOL

That was peculiar, but I'll just toss it in with the general goofball appeal. Granted, if it had come from someone like Chris I'd have found it less endearing.

I do think it's a hoot how whenever there's a critical mass of guys on a team and they're given a marketing job, the first thing they think of as a key element in their strategy is 'hot chicks', like with the Pontiac brochure. It's so lame and 'guy,' and it almost never pays off for them in the boardroom, but it's like they just can't help it...

Oh, and those Pontiac "chicks" were so stereotypically "chicky" weren't they?

Kendra deserves to make it to the final 2, based on the Pontiac advertisement. Tana was *horrible* about slacking off b/c she had immunity, and she is just generally annoying. Craig is a jack-ass, can't be nice to Kendra for the life of him. Alex is a moron, just tries to keep the crappy ppl on so he looks better (he was always Chris' biggest advocate).

As far as who wins, I'd bet money it's a woman, just for the sake of having a woman win. Though I don't think Trump likes women, the reason Chris lasted so long was b/c he had women on his team... when Trump couldn't fire a woman anymore, he finally fired Chris.

I think you're right on the money. That streaky haired girl was way better than Chris or Alex and yet she got the boot long before. Last night it looked for a minute that Tana was going to be fired and I was shouting at Donald "If you don't fire that lousy Alex I'm never watching your lame ass show again!" I guess he heard me :LOL
But honestly, I've been totally underwhlemed by the "talent pool" in this season.

I'd be happy to see either Tana or Kendra win. But how Craig got this far, I do not know! Maybe he just hasn't been in the boardroom to be fired?

I was just looking through the apprentice website. Kendra has only been on the losing team 3 times in the 14 weeks the shows been on. I bet that is going to carry a lot of weight with Trump. She just seems to be on teams that win. I really think of the three left she has the most drive and the is the best candidate. I also have no idea how Craig is still around.

Yippee, Alex is gone!

It's ridiculous he lasted this long, given that his only talent appeared to be making the other people on his team look bad in the boardroom after doing squat to help them win. Yeah, that's what I'd look for in a new hire.

Tana was hilariously single-minded about her 'bedazzler.' She did say she made $10K selling tshirts with rhinestones at the Olympics, and hey, I guess I wouldn't have thought of that. On the other hand, if you were an artist and designed a limited edition for someone, would you want them to whip out the glue and rhinestones to 'improve' it for you? :LOL

Kendra knows what she's doing. She may be a control freak, but if you're working with a bunch of lazy boobs with bad ideas, sometimes you just have to do everything yourself. (ok, I'm a control freak too, so I may be a little invested in this).

I thought the same things about adding the rhinestones to the shirt! I'd be pissed if I was the artist.

I am glad Alex is gone as well. I thought it was so unfair when he was project manager and stripey haired girl got fired. He looked like he almost weasled out of it again this time too.

I think Kendra rocks. I loved it when she beat Craig in the Top Gun fight. :LOL Did you see Craig when they came back from the board room in the beginning had a pick in his hair? Isn't that an '80's thing?

I think final two will be Tana vs Kendra.

I have to admit I was dead wrong about Tana. She doesn't belong there. She was so unprofessional. I should have read the clues when she went to bed on Kendra's task and about the rhinstones, but now I see it clearly. I have to say I am totally shocked Kendra did such a good job. I do think the editing was very skewed last night, but obviously Tana gave them a lot to work with.

Tana was AWFUL! I think her ture colors showed last night. She always claims to be "nice" but I think what she really is is fake. She was so negative, I don't think she works well under pressure at all. I also don't consider someone who went to college for three years to be "street smart".

Kendra did awesome, I was so proud of her! Take that Craig!

I didn't think the events were on the same scale, making it unfair for Tana. She had Olympians and the governor to keep happy on top of everything else. Kendra only had a few sponsors and the event seemed to pretty much run itself. Tana's event seemed so much bigger.
I honestly don't think either one of them are Trump material, but I'm rooting for Tana based on maturity-level.

Yup, I agree with this too. I had been impressed with Tana, but ever since Kendra pulled off that car brochure all on her own, I've been really impressed by her. I was quite disappointed in Tana last night and how she treated her "employees". Talk about a morale buster.

I hope Kendra takes it all next week. I'm still not quite sure she is Trump material, but of the two, she's my fave now.

I agree with both of the above. I was rooting for Tana, but got a bad impression when she went to sleep on the brochure task. Then she lost me completely when she decided to assign all responsibility and decision-making power for certain areas to her team during the Olympics event (which I agree was more difficult than the video games). She didn't even want to hear about their progress on the task. When you know you're working with 3 loose cannons, you can let them do the work, but you definitely have to keep tabs and sign off on all of the major products of their work- like the mangled brochure they produced. That was a huge mistake to give them so much freedom and then badmouth them when they did what she could have expected them to do.

PS Anyone else annoyed by the fact that some of the women want to be considered smart and capable, but then fall back on image when the crunch comes? (Think Audrey and Erin) I also thought Tana's comment that people should compliment her appearance last night was weird - what was that?

I took that to mean that she is not accustomed to negative comments and problems. SInce she sells makeup, she is accustomed to comments about appearance, etc.

Basically, just further admitting that she is not prepared for the "real" business world. I don't mean that in a way to put down selling makeup...I just mean that if she isn't accustomed to problems, etc., then she probably isn't ready to work for someone like Donald Trump.

I thought Tana's task seemed a bit more complicated but she also had a lot of volunteers who were ready to do her bidding had she been capable of putting them to good use. I just thought the way she kept brushing off Pataki's aide was a clear example of what kind of a worker she truly is, if things are going well, fine then she'll pay attention to you, but if you have bad news or need something she doesn't have, forget it! And I hated the way she talked about her "employees", talk about self-fulfilling prophecy! (However, what was up with them all getting going so slowly? Didn't they sign up for the job? If the gig starts at 6 am it starts at 6 am, right? Geeze, that would have bugged me too.)

There is something a little grating about Kendra but I admire her work ethic. I think the night she stayed up and did the brochure was her emblematic moment, she does what it takes to get the job done. I also thought it was sweet that her team seemed to like her so much, that had to be an impressive endorsement in Trump's eyes, he isn't going to want to hire someone who alienates his other employees and makes them feel like poo.

Anyway, go Kendra!

ITA about Tana being a huge disappointment...I think her attitude sucked and even though she had some dreaded teammates, she should have tapped into her "I'm a nice person" side a little more.

Kendra bugs but she did a way better job. Period. I also dont believe that either one of them is Trump material but you know the producers were pushing for a woman this time. I think Angie would have been better than both of these.

I am glad they are not doing a huge 3 hour fiasco like last season.

It wasn't just the way she kept putting them down. Even at the end, she sent them off acting like she was above them, calling them employees and herself an executive.

I don't think all of the things that went wrong with her task were within her control, but I thought she handled it horribly. She totally blew off the assistant to the mayor. I learned better skills as a waitress than she has. When something is behind and it is bothering someone, you keep checking back with them keeping them updated on the status so they are sure that you are doing all you can do to get it for them. Blowing them off sends the message that maybe they don't have what they need because you don't think it is important.

I think that obviously T had to pick a woman, and I don't think his firings are subjective as they seem. I think he must see potential in Kendra to have kept her. I don't believe anyone "flies under the radar" because I can't believe a control freak like Donald isn't very very careful about his choices to advance.

Before this task, I was on Tana's side, but she proved herself to have very little class and professionalism. I'd rather have a young rookie with some class, than a seasoned experienced person with no class.

I also agree that there is little difference between 3 years of college and a 4 year degree.

Yes, wow, Tana really showed her true colours. I think she certainly has a self-image and self-promotes as a "nice person" - but it's packaging.

Kendra has an excellent instinct for priorities - whether it's the car brochure, or the t-shirt thing, or making sure the sponsors were happy on the final task. If I were hiring, I'd feel confident that I could give her a job, go away, and come back to find it was done well. Maybe she would step on some toes on the way, but never gratuitously - just because she's focused.

I've been on Kendra's side since the car brochure and think everyone's right about Tana showing her true colors.
I agree that the magnitude of the tasks were much different.
And I don't understand Trump saying that it's okay that Tana dropped out with one year to go to move with her husband. There are many mamas on here that juggle marriage, child(ren) and school.
