I'm excited too! I don't know when I'm going to see it though so I'm going to tape it. I am home alone with my girls tonight, so I get to do bedtime all by myself.

OH NO! The state basketball games are on instead of my only night of tv- Earl, The Office and ER! They'll show them at some obscure time, like Saturday at 1:30 am. I hope I can find out. At least I can get the Office on iTunes.

I hope you got to watch it. It was pretty funny! Dwight is a piece of work! And that Angela is quite an oddball, too.

This is totally my favorite show! It makes me laugh like nothing else ever has on tv, well except for maybe Seinfeld. This show is so original and hilarious. I count the days and minutes until Thursday night.

Oh, that Angela. The actress who plays her plays every disaffected, quietly seething, rage-filled middle aged woman I have ever worked with, cataloging the sins of her employer for one really kick-ass lawsuit someday. She's brilliant.

But Steve Carrell - while totally sweet in "The 40 year old Virgin" - is no Ricky Gervais. He lacks the empathy that Gervais had for his character. I still love the show though and it's actually the one show we watch every week.

I like Dwight too - but I also really like the original Gareth. Dwight is a great Americanized Gareth.

Has anyone caught the 2 hour BBC episode where it followed up on everyone 2 years after the last show? I almost wet the bed I was laughing so hard. David Brent was just as sad and awful 2 years after as he had been before. He had produced a single and made a video for it as well. The video is hysterical!

I missed that! was it on BBC America? do you know if they'll reair it or if I can get it on blockbuster.com? a third season starts in october - will they be picking up after where the two hour special left off or where they left off at the end of the second season?

I'm Andrea - I have three boys - 12 year old twins & an 11 year old

Last night's episode! :

Some of my favorite scenes:

-When Stan went off on Ryan!
-Dwight was going to make corn husk dolls with the kids!
-Kelly put her arm around Ryan's during Michael's musical performance.

I am sure there are more...

I so wish they would run this show several times in the week like they do on cable. I guess I will just have to buy the DVDs eventually.

Next week looks hilarious.

Oh, and the part where Stan's daughter hits on Ryan.

And the part where Michael tells Ryan to go to his mother's house and climb through the window to get the tape of Michael's appearance on that kids TV show.

Was it just me, or did it seem like they were trying to show something finally that Michael is actually good at - interacting with kids. I thought he was sweet and wonderful with the children in last night's episode. As was Jim. That was well done the way they had Pam trying so hard to make "just one kid like me" and she finally succeeds!

I felt sorry for Michael after he showed his childhood tv show and then went alone in his office to mourn the fact that he didn't fulfill his dream of becoming a parent.

Yeah, I don't think Michael is a bad person, just loney. So he is always just trying to get people to like him. ITA that he is great with kids. Did anyone see the Halloween episode? At the end when the kids came to his door, he was really great with them and seemed genuinely interested in their costumes, etc. Also, I think Steve Carell has a wonderful childlike quality and always brings it to the characters he plays.

IRL he has two kids with Nancy whatshername who used to be on The Daily Show with him. I am glad they're humanizing him just a bit, otherwise he comes across as a bit cartoony.

That was totally hilarious. Although I imagine that it was "ltlkidlvr"...

I also like the subplot that the girlfriend of Ryan thinks that "having fun" includes getting married and having babies. The woman who plays his girlfriend is so hilarious - she was in the 40 Year Old Virgin too. And then she gets all jealous of the teenager and tells on Ryan...

Came across a breastfeeding ref from the first season!

Dwight Schrute: The purse girl hits everything on my checklist: creamy skin, straight teeth, curly hair, amazing breasts. Not for me... for my children. The Schrutes produce very thirsty babies.

Awesome! Other than the fact that it was spoken by Dwight.

Off to post it in Lactivism!

Most of the actors also have pages on myspace. Here's Pam's The initial pages are in character, but the blogs seem to be genuinely from the actors. Jim doesn't have a myspace page, though. Nor does Michael.

on the fact that THE OFFICE is the best show since Seinfeld!! I'm kind of new around here and SO HAPPY to find other fans of the show. Last night proved to be a "convenient" BF night. We got home late (rushing to see the show) and DH had to put my older 2 to bed and they were really horsing around (stalling). Sorry, babe, gotta BF the little one (in front of the TV)!! Yeah for me, though. Too bad, DH missed Stan yelling at Ryan...one of the best moments of the show last night, IMO. We taped it, though! Keep this going...I could talk about this show all day, every week!!

Maybe last night was a rerun, but I hadn't seen it yet and thought it was hilarious. Jim locking Dwight into his "workspace" and then the fake diseases were just so funny! Jim is so cool.
I loved it when Dwight tried fire Jim and Jan said You are not the manager of anything!
Michael just wants everyone to like him so bad, he makes a terrible manager. It's so classic.

Yeah. We bought season one last weekend and it was on there, so now I have seen that one, like, three times. I thought it was hilarious when Michael comes back from his outing, sees Dwight locked in the room, mutters, "For god's sake," and keeps walking right into his own office. Even Michael realizes Dwight is an idiot.

I'm pretty sure it was the "Bring Your Daughter to Work" episode. You'll have to look quickly, but her pic is there.

I also like how he has the Union Jack on his desk, no doubt as an homage to the original series.
